This medallion was created for the children that are endureing the effects of the deployment ie Mum or Dad has been diagnosed with a mental ( PTSD, depression, anxiety) or physical illness from their service. Sometimes these ongoing conditions impact the child far more than any deployment. 
Note: These medallions are no longer sent in a presentation box due to cost and unavailability. They do come in a presentation bag.
